Successful School Uniforms Funding Program by Gate Charity Provides School Uniforms and Other Supplies for Indonesian Children
The Indonesian School Uniforms Funding Program launched by Gate Charity on April 24, 2023 achieved resounding success, having raised an impressive $500 in just 24 hours. Thanks to the funds raised, on 16 May, Gate Charity went to Yabe Lale School in Indonesia to procure a total of 22 school uniform packages for children in need. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the overwhelming support from donors worldwide who have united to enhance the education and lives of Indonesian children.
The outstanding response received during this initial fundraising campaign has enabled Gate Charity to progress to the next phase of the program. On the morning of May 16, the Gate Charity team led the children to a school uniform store to try on sizes and purchase uniform packages. Each comprehensive school uniform package includes a shirt, pants or skirt, a hat, a belt, a tie, and socks, ensuring that the recipients are fully equipped with the necessary attire to attend school with pride.
Following the uniform shopping, the Gate Charity team and the children enjoyed lunch together at KFC — fulfilling a long-standing wish for the kids. The team’s caring attitude and the delicious food brought great joy to the children. Afterwards, the team donated food, utensils, and floor mats to the school to help improve the children’s diet and enhance the quality of their learning environment.
