Protecting Marine Ecology: Gate Charity Organized a Coastal Cleanup Event in The Philippines
Gate Charity, a global non-profit philanthropic organization, recently hosted a successful coastal cleanup event from March 4th to March 11th, 2023. The event aimed to raise awareness about marine ecological protection and promote environmental sustainability.
The event was themed around “Coastal Cleanup” and saw the participation of around ten people, including local diving instructors and enthusiasts. The event involved cleaning up the litter on the coast, followed by diving to photograph marine life in nearby waters. The participants used materials such as holding signs, trash bags, trash-picking tools, speedboats, diving air tanks, diving suits, and underwater cameras to execute the event.
The event began every day at 9:00 am and continued until 10:30 am, where the participants would clean up litter on the coast. In the afternoon, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, the participants would sail to the nearby waters to shoot marine life.
The event was a great success, with the participants collecting a considerable amount of garbage, including plastic bags, bottles, and cans. The event also helped to create awareness among the local community about the importance of protecting marine life and the environment.
