GateChain Smart Contracts DeFi Ecosystem and Cross-Chain Roadmap Released

As a high-performance public chain, GateChain features a unique insurance account mechanism that can innovatively solve the problem of hacks and loss of user assets. The underlying infrastructure with high throughput of up to 2000 TPS lays a solid foundation for the DeFi eco, and can effectively solve the tricky problem of high ethereum transfer fees. A week ago, we were very excited to unveil the GateChain’s smart contract functionality by releasing Meteora test chain to the public, which was one of our milestones that everyone was waiting for. There has been a large number of requests from both businesses and individuals applying to test tokens, deploy contracts and participate in Meteora’s public testing. We would like to thank all users and many DeFi projects for their enthusiasm and support!
Meanwhile, we also recognize that the community attaches great importance to GateChain’s mainnet update and eco-building plans. On the brink of the Spring festival, we are pleased to announce this year’s smart contract and cross-chain roadmap plans.
- After the Chinese New Year, GateChain-EVM will face the final stress test and regression test phase. After the completion of the test, the main chain will be updated, providing users with an abundant DeFi eco, including benchmarking Uniswap, Curve, Aave and other decentralized exchanges as well as decentralized lending platforms.
- After the EVM goes live on the main net, GateChain’s cross-chain functionalities with decentralized assets, e.g.: Cosmos, Polkadot, and Ethereum will also enter public testing.
- To enrich an interoperable eco, GateChain will bid for the Polkadot Polka parallel chain slot. This will advance the integration of GateChain’s multi-chain eco after accessing Polkadot’s main network.
- GateChain has completed the upgrade of the Cosmos-IBC module in the test chain. It will go live on the main network this year to realize cross-chain with the Cosmos eco.
- We are going to release GateChain’s parallel chain card slot auction (still uating which is the best way), so that more projects and main chains can realize cross-chain directly through GateChain by using GateChain’s one-click chain issuance technology to avoid overcrowding of wave card auction that causes inaccessibility or high costs.
New products:
- Gatemint-SDK: a universal development framework that supports users to deploy their blockchains with one click has completed development and entered the documentation stage. The framework will be launched in the first half of this year.
- Parallel Chain Slot Auction (under development, still needs to be uated): relayChain, as an important part of GateChain’s cross-chain functionalities, is also under development. When completed, it will have the ability to launch slot auctions, allowing more projects and master chains to directly realize interoperability through GateChain.
As a proverb goes, a single wire does not make a thread, and a single tree does not become a forest. We always believe that the core of the blockchain eco lies in the efficient flow of assets and information.
In the past two years, we have been paying close attention to the rapid developments of cross-chain products in the industry, while enhancing the underlying technology of GateChain. With the vigorous advancement of DeFi, BTC, ETH, Cosmos, and Polkadot as the industry leaders have all achieved cross-chain asset circulation in their own ways.
The year of 2021 is a super boom year for the cross-chain eco: BTC products on ETH will witness a rapid growth, parallel-chain slot auctions will be opened, and Cosmos-IBC will win further popularity after its release. In order to keep pace with these mature products, we
successively invested in researching Polkadot Parachain, Cosmos-IBC, etc. In addition, we also cooperate with several public chains respectively to reach interoperability with and create an eco with GateChain at its core.
At the same time, we noticed that there is still a relatively high technical threshold to realize cross-chain with mature ecos. For developers who want to quickly access our features, we have launched two products, Gatemint-SDK and RelayChain. You can use the SDK to quickly develop your own public chain and participate in the future GateChain parallel chain auction, and easily achieve cross-chain interoperability with popular public chains such as Polkadot and Cosmos after accessing them.
The launch of EVM is just the first step of a long march and there is a bigger prospect still waiting for us to realize. We hope that we can make concerted efforts with our users and developers to advance GateChain’s eco, and witness the extraordinary year of 2021.
