Gate Learn Served as Coach and Mentor at Hong Kong Digital Asset Society Hackathon 2023
Gate.io is proud to announce that Edwin Cheung, the Business Lead for Gate Hong Kong, acted as a coach and mentor to a group of five during the Hong Kong Digital Asset Society Hackathon 2023.
The HKDAS Hackathon was a two-day event from 4 to 5 Feburary where future entrepreneurs pitched start-up ideas to leading venture capitalists and industry leaders and got their advice on Blockchain / metaverse / Web3 technologies. The Hackathon invited Hong Kong Cyberport as a partner and the Hong Kong Youth Service Leadership Award to co-organize, and was awarded by Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute, Invest Hong Kong and other institutions as well as local and overseas top universities, including Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University, Polytechnic University, etc.; more than 130 teams from more than 10 countries and cities signed up to participate.
Edwin was excited to share his experience and expertise with the next generation of blockchain aspirers. He guided the participating team on the best approaches to develop their solutions and helped them conceive and plan strategies for their project. The champion team is Touch the Metaverse, with four members from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). Its innovative project combines the application of Metaverse and Industry 4.0, hoping to improve the safety and efficiency of the worker training process through the digitization of traditional worker training.
Edwin has been a long-time advocate of blockchain technology. He has been instrumental in the development of Gate Learn, Gate.io’s educational platform that provides courses and learning materials to help users learn more about blockchain technology. Gate Learn is proud to have Edwin Cheung as a mentor and coach for HKDAS Hackathon 2023. His experience and knowledge have been instrumental in helping the team reach their full potential and develop innovative blockchain, metaverse, and Web3 solutions.
