Gate.io Offers up to $5 Million Prize Pool in WCTC S4 Spot and Futures Trading Tournament
Starting March 31, up to $5 million will be on the line in Season 4 of the Gate.io World Cup Trading Competition (WCTC S4). Hosted by the global crypto exchange Gate.io, WCTC is a periodic competition that brings international crypto traders together in a battle to test their trading skills and to take home huge prizes. During the event, competitors will enter individual and team-based competitions to claim the crown as the best spot or futures trader.
WCTC S4 will play out in four stages:
- Reservation Stage: 2023–03–07 00:00 to 2023–03–20 23:59 (UTC)
- Early Bird Registration: 2023–03–21 00:00 to 2023–03–23 23:59 (UTC)
- Official Registration: 2023–03–24 00:00 to 2023–04–24 23:59 (UTC)
- Official Competition: 2023–03–31 00:00 to 2023–04–27 23:59 (UTC)
Competitors are ranked based on two criteria, total profit value and total trading volume. Prizes are awarded to the top traders or teams in each category. Rewards are divided among the top 1000 traders, with the first, second, and third spots winning the most significant prizes. For team-based competitions, team captains can also receive an additional bonus of up to $5,000 USDT. In addition to the main prizes, several other bonus prizes are available for early bird registrants and competitors who meet specific trading volume milestones.
The total prize pool increases with the number of participants, up to a maximum of $5 million, which is split as 70% for the futures team competition, 20% for the futures individual competition, and 10% for the individual spot individual competition.
WCTC S4 is expected to attract many traders of every skill level vying to become the champ and claim a prize. Previous competitions brought in thousands of traders, with over 50,000 traders competing to date.
