Gate Charity Successfully Empowers Children at Taiwan Nursery Center with “2023 Gate Charity Happy Together” NFT Fundraising Event
Gate Charity, the global non-profit philanthropic organization of Gate Group, announced the success of its charity event held earlier this year in Taiwan. The event combined the power of NFTs and philanthropy by converting 15 paintings created by children at the Kaohsiung Red Cross Nursery Center into the “2023 Gate Charity Happy Together” NFT series and selling them online. Gate Charity is proud to report the sale of 242 NFTs, raising an impressive amount of $1,210.
On May 24, 2023, the Gate Charity team revisited the Kaohsiung Red Cross Nursery Center to donate the funds raised to support the centre’s mission and reconnect with the children who contributed their creativity to the NFTs.
The Gate Charity event showcased the growing intersection between blockchain technology and philanthropy. With Gate Charity providing a platform for the sale and exchange of these NFTs and diverting the proceeds to the children at the Kaohsiung Red Cross Nursery Center, the event captured the attention of both crypto enthusiasts and philanthropists, who recognized the potential of NFTs to drive positive change.
