Gate Charity Introduces Art in Bénin NFT Collection: An Intersection of Art, Environment, and Blockchain for a Cause
Gate Charity, a global non-profit philanthropic organization, unveils the Art in Bénin NFT Collection today, which will be sold for charity purposes on Gate NFT, Gate.io’s NFT platform. This collection was born out of a collaborative event between Gate Charity and the University of Abomey-Calavi, a local art school in Bénin, West Africa, held in June this year. The event combined creativity, art, technology, and charity in an environmental initiative. Together, they created 20 unique artworks, and the photographs of these artworks, taken by professional photographers, were transformed into NFTs, extending the art from the physical world to the digital space.
The Gate Charity Art in Bénin NFT Collection showcases the artistic prowess of more than 30 art students and immortalizes the stunning transformation of beach debris into expressive paintings, intricate sculptures and transient ephemeral installations. This initiative bridges the gap between traditional art and the burgeoning world of crypto, allowing digital enthusiasts worldwide to appreciate and invest in the creative talents of Bénin’s students.
The Gate Charity Art in Bénin NFT Collection showcases 20 photographs of artworks created by students from the University of Abomey-Calavi in Bénin, West Africa, with 500 NFTs available for minting.
